Weekend getaway to Araku Valley

Hi Folks! I will talk about our 3 day trip to Araku Valley, situated around 120kms from Visakhapatnam, the port city of Andhra Pradesh. We started from Hyderabad, and we went on this trip in July,2016. All costs mentioned below are in Indian Rupees(INR), for 2 pax Suggested Itinerary: Day 1: Tribal Museum, Coffee Museum, Local Shopping Day 2: Borra Caves, Cheparai Falls, Padmapuram Gardens Cost of Trip: Train Tickets To & Fro, from Hyderabad: 3100Rs Hotel: 2500Rs Food & Sight-Seeing: 3300Rs Total: 9000Rs Trip in Detail: We took the Garib Rath express, an overnight train, from Hyderabad to Visakhapatnam. The train reached Visakhapatnam at around 8am, the next morning. There are two ways of getting around: 1. Book the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department package, enjoy their day long package and a drop back to Visakhapatnam in the evening (Excellent for a one day trip) 2. 3 Day Trip to Coorg/Madikeri/Kodagu

Hello People! I will talk about our 3 day Coorg Trip in this post, that we went in June, 2016. Coorg/Kodagu is a district in the Indian state of Karnataka and Madikeri or Mercara is this small hill station nestled in greenery all around. All costs mentioned below are in Indian Rupees(INR), for 2 pax. Himachal Diaries - Part III - 3 Day Trip to Dharamshala, McledoGanj and Dalhousie

This is the final post on our 10 day Himachal Trip. I will describe our experiences in Dharamshala, Mcleodganj and Dalhousie. Suggested Itinerary: Day 1: Dalai Lama Temple, Triund Trek Day 2: Dharamshala Cricket Ground, Church of St. Johns in the Wilderness, transfer to Dalhousie Day 3: Khajjiar, Rock Garden, Chamera Lake View, Rabi River Bank, Tibetan Market, Gandhi Market Trip in Detail: We headed to Dharamshala from Kullu. We took a bus till Mandi and from Mandi, took another bus to head to Dharamshala. Dharamshala is the town at the foothill while Mcleodganj is on top of the hill. We reached Mcleodganj at around 6pm. We dropped our bags in the  hotel and headed out for dinner. We wanted to try out the local cuisine in Mcleodganj. Now, Mcleod is a very hippie place with lot of youngsters, foreigners and monks!
